December

Irving and mom do a lot of playing when Walt is down for his first nap.

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit - boy did the kids love that!

He really is a ham.

Just a clip of Irv talking.

October and November

Fall was a lot of fun, especially when your dad makes a pile of soft leaves for you.

Cool as a cucumber Walty.

Irv's new (used) play kitchen. He makes us strawberry avocado pies every day.
Halloween was a lot safer with Fireman Lish on the patrol! We let him eat two pieces of chocolate candy - he hadn't had anything that good in his whole life. He enjoyed answering the door and saying "take one" when the kids said "trick-or-treat."
Walt had his first taste of sweet potatoes. He likes them.
Don't you wish you could be this flexible?

September 2008

Steve started working again and Irving really missed Daddy around. Irving became Mommy's little helper and made things easier. He helps with making dinner, changing Walt's diapers, grocery shopping, and more. I wish that we could have captured some of these moments on film, but it was challenging enough keeping everything going.

August

In August things started to turn around and Irving's skin settled down - thank goodness! We went for a lot of walks, visited family, and played every chance we had. You wouldn't know it through pictures since Steve and I stopped taking them. In fact, these ones are pretty much the only ones we have from August.

July 2008

July was a time where Steve and myself were trying our best to help Irving deal with his full blown case of eczema. It was pretty bad! I think there is something to practicing medicine as the art of distraction as the body heals itself. After everything we tried, I it seems time and a decrease in stress helped the most.

Walt was growing like a bean pole. He was an amazing little guy from the start.

June 2008

In June the early weeks after Steve went back to work we had many visitors. Irving loved it when friend came over to play.

His appetite didn't change much.

We think that Irving liked Walt but was still uncertain what Walt was doing in our home(-:

May 2008

In early May Iring still knew what it was like to be an only child with all the attention and love two parents could give.

Then in late May Walter was born. Boy did things change. At first, Irv didn't seem to really even notice that Walt was around. He was mildly interested, but with daddy around to play he didn't notice mommies absence.

Walter was born on May 25th weighing 7 pounds and 13 ounces.
